About.

Mr. Tam is a Designer/Space Planner at MBH Architects located in Alameda, California. In his eight months experience at MBH, he serves as a store designer and draftsman for the biggest American mobile device company across different regions, such as EMEA, ME, ALAC, and ASIA. Working in such a fast - paced environment, he is a team player and a go-getter whether working independently or collaboratively. His primary responsibility for his role is to provide design solutions in every phase of building a store, which includes annotating regional requirements upon providing layouts, adding merchandise and lighting plans after approval, and proceeding with a full standard or render design kit for client presentation. Besides, he has experience working on feasibility assessment for complex stores and post appointed modification for existing stores.

Unfortunately, he is not able to publicize his current projects due to contract and legal issues. However, everything on this page is from his prior experience during his study at university and internship at a local interior design firm in San Francisco, California. His first project: Interior Home Survey Project, he led the remodeling of his parent’s house in San Francisco. He listened and transformed their vision into reality. The new design reflects his parents’ ideology of a family, a warm yet uplifting space with a mid-century modern theme. His second project: Remodeling of SEIU Local 1000 reflects his skills in space planning. Through that, he delivers his concept of traffic flow in a constrained space. His third project: Sunken Palace is an architectural study of his own. It emphasizes the relationship of material and its connection with its terrain and nature. The goal is to bring the outside in.
